Importing PeakPro Data
Chromeleon allows you to import data created by Beckman's PeakPro chromatography data system.
You can import the following types of PeakPro files:
Raw Data (file extension *.R)
Result data
PeakPro result files have the same name as the raw data file, but with the file extension *.C. They are used to store information about the method and can contain results from several evaluations. However, Chromeleon only imports the results from the most current version.
Methods (restricted to data on peak detection and peak tables from the related result files)
How to import PeakPro data:
From the File menu, select Import/Restore and select PeakPro.... The PeakPro import wizard opens.
Select whether you wish to import individual files or all files in a folder. Click Next> to go to the next page of the import wizard.
To import individual files (Import of individual PeakPro files), click Add ... to open a dialog box that allows you to browse your Windows Explorer and select the files.
Select the file(s) you wish to import and confirm with OK or Open. This returns you to the import wizard.
To import a complete folder (Automatic recursive folder import), click the Browse button ("…") to open a Windows dialog box. Select the directory from which you want to import all PeakPro files. The dialog box also reports how many PeakPro files the selected folder contains.
(optional) If you wish to import peak integration and measuring data from the PeakPro files in addition to the selected channel raw data, select the Import Results option on the Destination page of the import wizard. The following data will be imported:
Peak Start/End Time, Peak Name, Peak Height, Peak Area, Peak Maximum Time, and Baseline Start/End Value.
Chromeleon does not import the following data:
Peak Amount, Peak Amount Unit, Retention Index, Peak Asymmetry/Efficiency.
This option requires that the Result File (file extension *.C) is saved in the same directory as the raw data (file extension *.R) and that the result file name corresponds to the related raw data file name. Chromatograms with imported results are labeled as "imported" in the chromatogram view.
Tips:
Chromatograms with imported result data cannot be modified. When you try to edit a chromatogram, a message appears saying that you cannot modify the chromatogram unless you first delete the imported results.
Also, modifications of the peak table or detection parameters are not automatically copied to the chromatogram unless you first delete the imported results. To delete the result data, go to the Edit menu or the peak context menu and select Delete Imported Results.
Note:
When Access Control is enabled, users can only import files or data if they have been granted the ImportChemStation privilege.
